. . . which, by the way, are apparently the new SuperFood, and everyone should have 1-2oz of nuts a day. So there you go. (I'm not sure if I have a point here, other than I'm really annoyed at how little conclusive evidence there is about what The Perfect Diet is.)

(Responding here instead of on the board, bcs it's not really a Global Warming thing) -- re diet -- I think it's true that there's widespread agreement on "eat only the calories you need", but I think the vast majority of people think the science is settled with regard to claims that "A low-fat diet is best" and "You should take a multivitamin every day" and "You should get X servings of milk/dairy a day," and that some nutritionists/MDs would say anyone who disagrees with that advice is nuts.
