Introduction
Professionally, I'm an artificial intelligence researcher, but my education was in theatre and playwriting, and my hobbies include portrait painting and backpacking. I have really diverse interests, and I'd like to make some new interesting friends.
What are your expectations from the group?
Make some new friends. Dinner and drinks. Intellectual and social stimulation.
Tell us something about yourself.
Went to New York last weekend to see some of my college buddies perform in an off-broadway play. Spent the next day at the Museum of Modern Art and saw Eddie Izzard perform in the evening.
We are constantly looking for ideas for discussion topics. Do you have any suggestions?
Modernism, expressionism, impressionism, and surrealism all emerged out of the 20th century. What "isms" will people use to describe the art works, literature, and music of the last ten years?
What type of events/activities you will be interested in?
Social events, guest lectures, discussions, trips to museums. That sort of thing.
