As one of the main focuses of our group is to try new and different things, I was thinking what about trying Archery. Archery is very easy to learn, lot of fun and very fulfilling. I have contacted the owner and head coach of the Ace Archers and he has agreed to give us an unbelievable deal; 2 hours of archery for only $12, which includes training (by Tom, Head Coach of Ace Archers), equipment rental and range time. Afterward (around 7:00 PM) we can move to a nearby place for dinner and drinks. Since this event will be requiring some planning, I am only allowing RSVP Yes and No.

If you are using a GPS or MapQuest, please realize that all automated maps will leave you off 1/4 mile north of our facility. We are located in a three story brick factory building on the 3rd floor. The building also host some other business, one of them World Gym (they have a big sign). Also, please be aware that North Main Street in Mansfield forks just north of Rt. 106 and you must take the left fork and go under the railroad bridge and then after the bridge, take the right fork to remain on North Main Street.

I wouldn't be surprised if Indy does this event again in the near future. Great job Indy!
Very interesting event - Thanks for organizing it!
THE RAIN IS NOT GOING TO AFFECT THE EVENT, SINCE IT'S AN INDOOR RANGE.

1. We will have two cars leaving from Davis Square area. Please meet us outside of Au Bon Pain between 3:15 -3:30 PM.
2. Gabriella will be driving from Milton, she can also pick up people from Quincy redline stop. If you need a ride around there please contact her directly through her meetup profile.
3. Aseem will be driving from Cambridge (close to MIT campus), so if you are close by contact him directly through his meetup profile.
WOW The spot is ALREADY TAKEN!! Guys you are QUICK!!! I'll be on the waiting list AGAIN : )
John - true archery is not easy to learn, but Tom does a good job of teaching you the basics and you can shoot up his floors anytime. He has the proper backstops and woodfloors to catch arrows that fly everywhere but the target. It's still fun and I wouldn't get discouraged. I shot into the curtain a few times when I first started. It's a really fun sport :)
or maybe another weekend.. just a thought.
You should definately talk to Tom about a possible Sunday Sept 13th lesson as well since the group has so much interest. I'm sure he'd say yes if you ask in advance.
Karen,
Definitely bring your son. There is no age limit. They have equipments for kids and young adults too.
